Lean Advancement Initiative
Being MIT’s first official Lean Aerospace Initiative Education Network Center (LAI EdNet), UAH can offer the highly successful LAI Lean Academy® course to the aerospace industry. This class provides a hands-on introduction to lean and other continuous improvement fundamentals with a focus on aerospace applications.
Both the Alabama Automotive Manufacturers Association (AAMA) and the Alabama Aerospace Industry Association (AAIA) are administered through The College of Business Administration Research Centers at The University of Alabama in Huntsville. UAH-ATN is also administered through the business school's reseach center.

Alabama Automotive Manufactures Association
Alabama Automotive Manufacturers Association (AAMA) was formed in 2001 to provide a forum for interaction among automotive companies in Alabama, to share information among its members and to provide an awareness of manufacturing, trends, techniques, and concerns. Learn More.

National Institue of Standards and Technology's Manufacturing Extension Parntership
ATN is Alabama's affiliate of the National Institute of Standards and Technology's (NIST) Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP), which provides hands-on assistance and training to smaller manufacturers. MEP is a nationwide network whose sole purpose is to provide small and medium sized manufacturers with the services they need to succeed. The MEP centers are funded by federal, state, local and private resources to serve manufacturers making it possible for a variety of companies, regardless of size, to utilize the expertise, experience, and knowledge of MEP's manufacturing and business specialists.
